Updates The Ultimate Challenge

Hello Fans...It's been a LONG time away. It's good to be back. Our sweet baby girl came on 11/19. It was an amazing adventure. Two weeks of false labor.  I tell you my husband and I went to the hospital so many times.  But the BIG night came and I refused to believe it no matter how much pain I was in and I was in some pain. So after Nana came to pick up the girls to keep for the week of Thanksgiving, Hubby and I went out on a double date to the movies..Twilight (team Jacob) ;) anyway, during the movie I was in hardcore labor, But after many fasle labor scares I refused to believe that I was in labor (at 38 weeks). This was my first all natural birth. I have to say it was PAINFUL, but I would do it again!
Anyway Jordyn is here and she is awesome.  My home is now filled with loud noises all the time, but I love it. God is so amazing!

More crafts to come! Thanks for following.

#30 day Challenge # 4 School Halloween Party

Halloween is vastly approaching, and I just can not stand how many ideas I have.  I can't seam to get them all out in time.  But I will do my best.  My school is having a Trunk or Treat party, where the parents get the trunks of their Vans, Cars, SUV etc decorated for the kiddos to walk by for treats.. Its CUTE to see all the bitties all dressed up and running around.
I have some SURPRISES in store for you guys to show you after the Trunk or Treat.  I can't show you yet because it will give it all away to the parents I will be see on Halloween.  But believe me you are going to LOVE it!!!

Ok Ok I cant stand it I have to give you a Sneak Peak!...
I bought the Happy Hauntings Halloween Cart and there's a TON of cool stuff in here to work with.

Here I took the Frankenstein, His Bride and the Witch cut them all out in white Textured Cardstock.  Here's an example of the bride cut and ready to go..

I took my Prismacolor MARKERS.. By the way I LOVE Primamacolor, pencils, markers whatever they have.  They just give you the best quality.  I highly suggest adding these to your craft collection.
So I took the P.M and just filled in the colors as I saw fit.  This keeps me from cutting so many small layers.  You are more then welcome to cut all the layers the cart has available.  But, I'm adding this to a bigger project (which took forever). I felt like I could put less time in the smaller pieces and still come out with a great looking end project.

Tell me what you guys think.  Keep in mind this is a Sneak Peak of something BIGGER to come soon.  It was fun to make

30 Day Challenge #3... Holiday / Gift Wrap Bows

Ok crafters...here's one of my Favs!! I'm so excited to share this one with you because I know you all are going to love this.  I remember growing up and my mom buying a big bag of these bows at Christmas.  My sister and I would start wrapping up the gifts that were bought for family. Then we would open up that big bag of paper bows, taking the backing off and slapping it right on top of the gift.  BUT, you cant just reach in and pull out just any ole color ( they came in an assortment) you had to get the RIGHT one. That one,  that matched perfectly with that gift wrap you just so "neatly' taped on that gift. :).  Yeah right!! NEAT? Anyway, the bow had to match. I appreciated how these bows gave the gift that completed look and now I can appreciate them even more that I have made a few.  Keep in mind these bows are not just for Christmas.  You can use them for baby showers, birthdays, Just because and to add to to top of a great "Welcome New Neighbor" fruit basket you put together.  The possibilities are endless when you look over at all that craft paper you have bought.  If you are a "paper hoarder" like I am, you understand.  OR, dig into that bin, box and stash of scraps you have.  Being a crafter we throw NOTHING away, and I mean NOTHING!!! Take a look at the pics guys enjoy.

30 Day Challenge #2 Triangle Halloween Treat box

Welcome back Kre8tive crafters, I'm super excited about Halloween.  I have been hopping around from blog to blog and I have seen so many awesome Halloween paper-crafts.  And I'm loving them all so much that I though hey, 30 day challenge, why not add in a few Halloween crafts.  This one I just have to share. I loved making this box it was a ton of fun.  Not to mention EASY!!  I wanted to make something the kids at school would like and this is what I came up with.  Here are a few pics.

Not sure how my finger got in the picture, but thank goodness it did not cover the box.
Again I used the Halloween printed paper from studio g, actually every piece of this was from studio g.  The paper, the pumpkin bling.  Love that bling!! The ribbon and the Halloween brad. I love that you can find this at Walmart and its very inexpensive $.97.  Now all I need is candy and to hand these out to some sweet 2 year olds.
I hope you like this I will be happy to do a video touturial if you guys are intrested in learning how to make these.

30 Day Challenge

With the holidays drawing near, and the delivery of my third child drawing even closer, I thought I would start a challenge that I have been thinking about for quite some time now. I'm a few (10) days late in uploading this challenge but, I've got some crafts already in the pot and ready to share.
I enjoy YouTube, searching and learning about new paper-craft ideas to try myself, and I found some really interesting ones. As my cousin (Patrice) said to me “who needs college when there's YouTube.” I loved it!! And total agree! Any who, my first project to share with you guys is a great way to update those stamps we love so much. I get bored with the one dimensional color stamp so I went to my "college" YouTube and found an awesome way to updated and use those stamps in a Kre8tive way.
First I took the stamp of choice. Here is a stamp from studio g I picked up at Walmart! Only $.97!!!
I took the stamp and I pressed a purple pigment ink (also studio g from Walmart for $.97) until it was fully covered. I pressed it to my surface of choice. Here I just did plain white paper to show the effect. Then take a GOOD colored pencil, I used PRISMACOLOR, they are the best, colored in small areas of the stamped image.  Do not color the entire stamped area. Now you are ready to work in your blending tools. I'm using Fantastix fine tip brush. Just dip your blending tool into a very small amount of OMS (Odorless Mineral Spirit). Do Not soak the blending tool into the solvent! Now you can take your blending tool and start to move the areas where you have put colored pencil and move the color around the stamped areas. I started working from darkest color to lightest color and rubbing my brush clean between each color change.
Here's the finished look!

Here's another stamp I did with just one color.

Now you can add this to any card or scrapbook page.

I hope you got something out of this quick tutorial and can use it in your upcoming craft projects. Thanks guys!
